M&N have been appointed by Glenveagh Homes Ltd to carry out Earthworks and Civils Works for Phase 1a of the latest residential development in Donabate – Ballymastone. This phase is set on a 15 hectare site and is the first phase of the wider Ballymastone Masterplan.

The proposed development consists of the construction of one of the biggest ever housing developments in the state, which includes 432 residential dwellings comprised of apartments, duplexes and houses, with buildings ranging in height from 2 to 6 storeys. Onsite amenities include a crèche, public open space, car and bicycle parking, storage, services, new pedestrian cycle links, road improvements and plant areas. Landscaping will include communal amenity areas and a significant public open space provision.

M&N’s scope of works includes:

• Bulk excavation and soil stabilization of approximately 100,000m³ of existing and imported soil
• Major utility and services works including public upgrade works along Portrane road and the Donabate Distributor Road including a 5 metre deep  300mm diameter PVC Foul sewer crossing across the Donabate Distributor Road to allow for a sewer connection to an existing pump station
• Construction of 24,000m² of road network and the installation of 15km storm / foul / filter drains / swale linear drainage ranging in diameter from 100mm to 1350mm
• 6km of watermain up to 225mm diameter
• 17km of utility ducting including diversions and working around existing overhead power lines
