This project involved works to Glencar House in Ballsbridge including the bulk excavation of 20,000m3 of material removed off-site to allow for the construction of a split-level carpark. This was undertaken in a very busy, highly pedestrianised area of Dublin so there was a significant emphasis on 3rd party safety. M&N’s scope of works included:
Bulk excavation of approximately 25,000m3 for 8 metre deep basement. This was a very logistically challenging project due to its location right in the heart of Dublin and the site Access via Dawson Street and Duke Lane and with the Luas on Dawson Street and the Pedestrian Foot fall of Grafton Street and Dawson Street.
M&N carried out excavation & civil works for Irish rail new National Train Control Centre (NTCC) on a brownfield site. Works involved partial basement dig, removal of contaminated material off site to licensed tips. Substructure works included, piling breaking & disposal, installation of blinding, back filling to basement slab walls. M&N completed basement slab drainage
Development for Hotel/Apartments at Spencer North Dublin. Bulk Dig 25,000m3 brownfield site. Disposal of over 50,000 tonnes contaminated material for export to barges and licensed facilities in Ireland. M&N achieved over 100 artic loads per day at height of project. Facebook New International Headquarters. Two storey basement dig within secant piled wall 15.00m deep. Approx 135,000m3 excavated & disposed off site brownfield site within 28 week programme duration. M&N achieved on average 130 artic loads per day at height of project in busy City Centre environment. M&N disposed circa 30,000 tonnes contaminated material for export
Groundworks for 384 Apartments and single storey basement carpark. M&N works included bulk dig 35,000m3 of mostly inert soil and disposal off site. Piling attendances to piling contractor during Piling phase. Substructure works, breaking 600& 900 dia piles, blinding works, backfilling basement wall. Under slab drainage. Rock breaking 24,000m3 & disposed off site. Complex dig due to obstructions in ground reinforced concrete which had to be broken out from existing building. Disposal 60,000 tonnes
